1. Parents are the first teachers

Life is full of teaching and learning too. Every single mistake and success act as a teacher. We have to learn every situation from the best teachers. Maharaj always considered his mother Aaisaheb Jijabai and father Shahaji Raje Bhosale as his first teachers. Even his life journey was given direction by aaisaheb Jijau. Always respect your teachers. Never doubt the lessons of teachers and the experience he or she has in their life.

2. Dreams are seen to be achieved

We dream, we Smile, we cry, we forget, and move on to another sleep. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj dreamt differently. Because he saw a dream of Swarajya and started building paths to achieve it.  This is the ideal dream and the ideal way to achieve dreams. Dreams are seen to be achieved and not to be forgotten.

4. Fearless 

Mughals, Nijams, Adilshah, British, Portuguese, Dutch, and many more known and unknown groups were there already for a long time to stop Maharaj. But the one thing that made him continue walking on his path was fearlessness. Even when got captured by the Mughals, he used his intelligence and patience to solve the trap. These courageous works show us that if you are fearless and yet patient about things, then you won't be needing to stop at any point or in front of anyone.

5. Respect Women

 

Lakhs of people and thousands of villages were under his word. But he always used his words wisely, only for the good sake of people. He was a real king who respected women either as his sisters or as his mother. Respect for women is rapidly diminishing day by day. Why was a king, popular in the entire world, who defeated entire Mughals, who owned both the land and water battles, always glorified women and elders? Because he knew one thing, the one who respects the female, is respected by God himself. This is a true example of telling why he was the king of swarajya. 

Shivaji Maharaj used to say that A woman is the God, the devta in the temple of Swarajya, she must never be harmed, insulted, or disrespected. Those who disrespected women and children in wars or any village were punished immediately.

6. Planning is invariably a must 

Every single action Maharaj took was after deep and radial planning. He thought of every single choice and every single possibility before putting the plan into action. Acting without a proper and realistic plan is a returning journey for anyone, so planning is a must before acting. 

When the Portuguese and Dutch agreed to build ships for Marathas, Maharaj intentionally sent some of his men to them for help in work. He knew that these foreign people will surely stop the work and go against us so he told his men to learn the art of ship making. After the Dutch went against him, he built more modified and small-sized armed ships and made the Dutch and Portuguese bend against Marathas. The strength of his navy was so high and the army was so properly arranged that he is known as the Father of the Indian Navy.

7. Rest is waste 

We are having a lot of work in front of us and still, we procrastinate and do other stuff which is not so necessary at that time. This wasn't a habit of Shivaji Maharaj. He always gave importance to work and people. After the famous Afzal khan vadh, instead of resting for some time at his fort, Maharaj went to Adil shah's kingdom and gave him high strikes in his land. This shows that he was so committed to his work that his eyes were glowing enough to make the enemies go blind.
